And today, our Clontarf pool is still Ireland’s only 50 metre pool in a private member’s club.

Swimming lessons at Clontarf Swimming Pool

Our ‘Learn-To Swim’ programme has 9 swimming instruction levels to suit all children learning to swim.

Our small class sizes, huge pool, and fully qualified swim teachers our academy is fully geared at providing the best learning environment to children.

Our team of up to 40 lifeguards and swim teachers make sure all swimmers get the best teaching experience in a safe and rewarding atmosphere.

It’s never too late to start though. Our adult programme provides the option of small group lessons or individual one to one lessons for anyone looking to start their swimming journey. Our experienced swim teachers will alleviate all your fears and get your water confident and swimming in no time!

For improver to advanced swimmers who are looking to progress their swim technique or endurance two free, 90minute, fully coached swim sessions are provided each week. These sessions are ideal sessions for anyone looking to compete in open water swim races or in triathlons of any distance.

Not a swimmer but still want to enjoy and experience the benefits of exercising in water? West Wood Club’s aqua fit classes are designed to cater to all ages, abilities & fitness levels. With benefits such as increased cardiovascular fitness, low impact & alleviates pressure on the joints, weight loss, relieving stress and decreasing anxiety, reducing blood pressure, these water based classes set to energising music are one of the most enjoyable ways to improve your fitness levels.
