Nurturing and building caring relationships
Understanding that it’s an emotional and difficult step for parents.
Provide a complimentary settling in week-5 days, gradually building up the length of time. We are flexible and understanding, each child and family are different and settling in is tailored to each family.
Open door policy: parents can come and go unannounced.
Strong relationship with parents and value that parents are primary care givers and we work together with them.
Follow the home routine so that each child gets one on one time with the Early Years Educators (EYEs).
Activities for this age group include:
Tummy time
Tickle games
Heuristic play
Sensory play
Music
Discovery and cause and effect play
All together with lots of one on one time and cuddles!
Wobblers and Toddlers: 12 to 24 months
Exploring and Thinking
Main major mile stone development is gross motor skills, learning to walk and becoming confident on their feet; through Fitzone, swimming and outings and excursions the children are exposed to many ways to develop these important skills.
Open door policy: parents can come and go unannounced.
Strong relationship with parents, team, parent’s primary care givers and we work together with them.
Start of a social routine: meals are shared experiences where children are encouraged and supported in learning life skills such as feeding themselves and socialising at meal times.
Aistear and Siolta based curriculum – play based and eclectic – parts for all the theorists we value – elements of high scope, Montessori, etc.
Environment design: Interest areas e.g. construction, imaginative, home corner, small world, art, sand, water, discovery play, sensory play to name a few- changes based on the children’s needs and interests.
Activities include: swimming, Fitzone, outings and excursions, baking, music.
Crèche: 2 to 3 years
Meaningful hands on play experiences
Development and expansion of language and vocabulary: focusing strongly on providing commentary during meaningful play experiences and expansion of learning.
High quality experiences, following children’s interests and needs.
Thirst for knowledge: nurturing their curiosity and inquisitive nature.

ECCE Scheme: Free preschool 2yrs 8 mths to 5 years

We provide a sessional ECCE group Monday to Friday 9.30am-12.30pm from September to July. This is the government funded preschool scheme that is available to all eligible children aged from 2yrs 8mths to 5 yrs to prepare them for school.
In our Leopardstown Club we offer extra care from 9am-9.30am for an additional €3 each day. We also offer extra care from 12.30pm to 1pm for an additional €3 per day.
This includes:

Our after-school programme is all about giving the children choice. It’s a place where children have choice and their voice is heard and respected
This includes:
Collection from cetain local schools.
Supervised homework club.
Hot dinner is included.
Child lead and interest based activities.
Extra-curricular activities include swimming, climbing wall, park, arts and crafts, baking, fitzone etc.
Discounts offered for tennis and swimming lessons- we drop and collect- hassle free and weekends for family time.
Open all year round- full day options when the schools are closed, camps and other activities for school breaks.
