Padel & Pickleball Centre Manager – West Wood Club Leopardstown
Location: West Wood Club Leopardstown, Dublin 18
Investment: €2.5 million world-class facility opening January 2026
West Wood Club is set to open Ireland’s largest indoor padel and pickleball facility at our flagship Leopardstown Club — part of the iconic West Wood Club on Leopardstown Racecourse.
This NEW €2.5 million development has been over a year in design and construction. Built inside a purpose-engineered dome by Europe’s leading sports structure specialists in Slovenia, the venue will redefine indoor racquet sport in Ireland.
We’re now looking for a driven, commercially minded manager to lead every aspect of this new facility’s operation and make it a thriving, high-performing, and social success story — exclusively for West Wood Club members.
The Facility
Step inside Ireland’s most spectacular indoor racquet-sport arena — a purpose-built dome engineered for performance, energy, and atmosphere. Every detail has been designed to set a new benchmark for padel and pickleball in Ireland.
Eight international-standard padel courts with tournament-level lighting and year-round comfort — rain or shine.
Two custom-built indoor pickleball courts, ideal for competitive play, coaching, and social matches.
A luxurious lounge and café overlooking the courts — a space to relax, connect, and watch the action unfold.
Premium spectator seating and open viewing areas that capture the energy of live play.
High-speed Wi-Fi and work benches, blending sport, business, and social connection.
A welcoming reception and events space for tournaments, corporate nights, and member socials.
This is more than a facility — it’s a destination. An exclusive home for Ireland’s fastest-growing sport, built for competition, community, and unforgettable experiences.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a leader who can turn this remarkable facility into a dynamic success — where courts are full, members are engaged, and the atmosphere is electric.
Your responsibilities will include:
Achieving and maintaining 60%+ court occupancy
Driving member participation and converting first-time players into regulars
Developing a vibrant calendar of social events, tournaments, and competitions
Managing staff, coaches, and instructors
Maintaining world-class operational standards
Analysing KPIs weekly and monthly to track performance and growth
Growing off-peak business through creative, data-led initiatives
Collaborating with managers across all six West Wood Clubs to increase member participation
This is a role for someone ready to build, lead, and grow — not simply maintain.
About You
You’re commercially sharp, energetic, and motivated by success. You understand that results are built on relationships — and that great business comes from great experiences.
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
Hold a degree in Sports Science, Sports Management, Leisure Management, or Business Management
Have experience in sports operations, venue management, or business growth
Are commercially driven and results-focused
Can plan strategically and execute effectively
Love connecting with members of all ages
Are confident organising events, leagues, and social programmes
Have an eye for presentation, standards, and operational detail
Can manage, develop, and motivate a small team
Learn fast, think creatively, and act decisively
A love of padel or pickleball helps — but your ability to make this new member-exclusive facility a profitable, vibrant destination is what matters most.
