Club Operations Manager - Leopardstown

West Wood Club is a premium priced family fitness club. This position will require someone with the full commitment and drive to apply themselves 100% to keeping West Wood Club a premium club.  As a premium priced club, our members expect and deserve a premium club backed up by exceptional five-star service. This position will require someone who can contribute and deliver on that expectation.  West Wood Club Leopardstown depends on the successful management of its gym, swimming pools, fitness classes, childcare facilities, party venue, children’s activity camps, spa and beauty departments.  As Operations Manager you will be required to support all these departments and ensure their efficient running while on duty. Most importantly, you will be required to always act in a manner that protects the integrity and exclusivity of the West Wood Club brand.

This member-focused position will require the commitment and ability to…

• Follow instructions fully from the General Manager and to always deliver on time - every time

• Quickly learn all aspects of the role

• Prioritise your tasks and responsibilities to ensure the efficient running of the club, and the efficient delivery of the West Wood Club experience

• Take responsibility for the efficient running of all departments while on duty

• Be observant and fully aware whilst on duty of all facility problems and to take full responsibility and ownership to follow through to the end

• Fully support and ensure the seamless integration between all departments while on duty - including membership, maintenance, front desk, gym, administration, cleaning, tennis, fitzone and childcare

• Anticipate problems before they happen and take the necessary action to prevent them happening

• Provide exceptional customer service at all times

• Ensure, while you are on duty, that all staff deliver exceptional customer service at all times

• Take full responsibility for implementing and managing the high standard of operation of the club while on duty

• Deal with, follow up, and document, all member complaints in a professional manner

• Maintain an exceptionally clean and friendly club at all times

• Take full responsibility, and fully implement, all West Wood Club systems and procedures while on duty including:

  1. Member retention strategies- must have ability to conceive, implement & deliver

  2. Health & Safety procedures - experience or qualification a distinct advantage

  3. Cleanliness systems and procedures

  4. Maintenance management systems

  5. Gym management systems - ability to effectively manage gym floor & large class schedule essential

  6. Front desk systems and procedures- Provide exceptional customer service at all times

  7. Membership payment management systems and procedures

  8. Human resource policies and procedures - experience in this area a distinct advantage

  9. Fitness Qualification for this position will be a distinct advantage
