Padel Coaching
Padel Coaching Dublin. Learn to Play. Learn to Play Better.
Hitting the ball is only part of learning how to play padel.
Knowing where to stand, when to move, which shot to play and how to work with your partner can make a real difference to how you play — and how much you enjoy the game.
That's where a padel coach can help.
At West Wood Club Leopardstown, Dublin 18, our padel coaching is designed for people who have never played before, as well as players who want to improve their technique, positioning and tactics.
If you're completely new to padel, we'll show you how to get started.
If you've been playing for a while, we'll help you work on the parts of your game you want to improve.

Good Padel Starts With Knowing Where to Be
One of the most common mistakes beginners make isn't how they hit the ball. It's where they stand on the court.
You might be able to return a shot but still find yourself constantly chasing the ball, getting caught out of position or wondering where you should move next.
Our coaches can help you understand what to do.
You'll learn how to position yourself, move around the court, prepare for different shots and recognise when to defend or attack.
As you develop these skills, you'll have a better understanding of the game and what you're trying to achieve with each shot.
And if you already play regularly, coaching can help you recognise habits you may not even realise you've developed.
Sometimes it's a small adjustment to your positioning, preparation or technique that gives you something useful to work on the next time you play.
Your First Lesson. Or Your Next Breakthrough.
Never played padel before? We'll show you how.
You don't need to know the rules, understand the scoring or have any experience with a racket.
Your coach can start with the basics.
You'll be introduced to the court, learn how to hold the racket, understand where to stand and practise your first shots.
Then you'll begin hitting the ball and getting a feel for the game.
There's no need to worry about keeping up with experienced players. Your lesson is about learning at a pace that suits you.
And you'll have someone there to explain things, answer questions and help you get started.
Already playing? Let's work on your game.
Perhaps you're struggling to return certain shots. You keep getting caught out of position. Your attacking shots aren't as effective as you'd like. Or you're simply finding it difficult to become more consistent.
These are exactly the kinds of things you can work on with a coach.
Instead of practising without knowing what to change, you'll get individual feedback on your technique, movement and decision-making.
Tell your coach what you'd like to improve, and your session can focus on that.
It's your opportunity to ask questions, practise specific skills and develop a better understanding of how to play.
Learn the Skills That Make Padel More Enjoyable
Padel is a game of movement, positioning, timing and teamwork. And there's plenty to learn beyond simply getting the ball over the net.
Our coaches can help you develop the skills that matter on court.
Better positioning
Understand where you should stand, how to move with your partner and how to prepare for the next shot.
More consistent shots
Work on your grip, preparation, timing and technique so you can develop greater control over the ball.
Stronger defensive play
Learn how to respond when your opponents put you under pressure and how to use defensive positions more effectively.
Smarter attacking play
Understand when to move forward, how to recognise attacking opportunities and how to make better decisions during rallies.
Better match understanding
Learn how to move between defence and attack, anticipate what might happen next and put your skills into practice during games.

How your coaching can develop
For someone learning padel from the beginning, coaching can gradually introduce different parts of the game.
You might start by understanding defensive positioning and basic shots, then develop your attacking play and learn how to move between different court positions.
As you gain experience, your coach can introduce more realistic match situations.
There's no fixed number of lessons that everyone needs. Your coaching can develop around your experience, your progress and what you'd like to achieve.
