The Electricians’ Role:
The Electrician will be responsible for the continued maintenance, and improvement, of West Wood Club’s electrical infrastructure and appliances – in addition to providing technical expertise regarding electrics.
Being reliable, with a keen eye for detail, is the first step to getting this job.
Supporting our General Managers in the delivery of a first-class and working fitness facility will be paramount in this role.
The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. You must also possess manual dexterity and physical stamina.
Responsibility/ Activities:
Main responsibilities:
Understanding and applying the electrical principles associated with the design, building, installation and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
Working with General Managers to ensure our members have a first-class fitness experience.
Ensure full compliance with all legislation, codes of practice, industry guidelines and/or Organisation Procedures/Policies relating to Health and Safety – whilst also ensuring that any direct working areas are maintained to a safe and orderly standard.
Ensure that buildings are tested to the required standards where necessary.
Diagnosing and fault finding of electrical systems as required.
General building maintenance and facility repairs.
Travel to all Westwood clubs on an as and when required basis.
Health and Safety:
Understands and able to apply Health and Safety procedures relevant to the job:
Manual handling.
Safe use of machinery and/or equipment.
First Aid and Hygiene Practice.
Lone working procedures and responsibilities
Able to recognise and to deal with emergency situations
The above list of duties is not exhaustive. The electrician will be required to perform such other duties as appropriate to the post, as may be assigned to you from time to time by West Wood Club General Managers or such other designated person.
