New Mandatory Government Covid Guidelines In Place For Gyms And Leisure Centres From 7Th December 2021
We’re working to make this as easy as possible for you
As you may be aware, on Friday 3rd December the Government announced further restrictions to help fight the spread of Covid-19. Including Covid Certs for Gyms.
From Tuesday 7th December 2021 until 9th January 2022, those attending Fitness and Leisure Centres will now be required to present a valid Covid Cert/proof of immunity.
To comply with the Government’s mandatory decision to implement this restriction, members will be asked once to present one of the following to gain access to the club facilities:
HSE COVID certificate, either digital or paper format. This certificate is based on your vaccination.
EU Covid Digital Certificate (DCC), either digital or paper format. There are 4 types of digital Covid Certificates:
Certificate based on vaccination
Certificate based on recovery
Certificate based on a negative RR-PCR test. A negative or not detected RT-PCR test (taken within 72 hours before arrival to club and must be certified and not self administered)
Certificate based on a negative or not detected antigen test (taken within 48 hours before arrival to club and must be certified and not self administered)
For further information on how to obtain any of the above please see EU Digital COVID Certificate.
Staff and management are working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure your entry to the club is as smooth as possible. A temporary hold will be placed on the access gate from Tuesday 7th December which will be freed up once a valid “Covid Cert” is presented at reception.
From Tuesday 7th December for one visit only, we are requesting you to do the following:
Be ready to present your Covid Pass upon arrival at reception
Have your “Covid Cert” scanned
Once your “Covid Cert” is verified, a message will be logged on your membership account and the block will be removed. Your swipe tag will work on each visit thereafter.
If you are operating off an “negative antigen cert” or “negative PCR cert” then you will need to present the updated certificate on each visit to the club.
We would ask that you remain patient during this initial process and allow yourself a little extra time, especially if attending for a class or scheduled event.
If you do not hold a valid “Covid Cert” and wish to freeze your membership during this time, please contact the following:
